Good luck to Daanyal Spalding, who plays his second EuroPro Tour tournament of the season, at Frilford Heath, over three days this week, between Wednesday and Friday.

A Return to Frilford Heath

It’s a return to the course where he secured his Tour card last month, and as you would expect, Daanyal – who learnt his golf at Four Ashes and represents us on the Tour – headed down the M40 with purposeful intent.

“At every tournament I play I believe I can win, and if I don’t it will not be for the want of trying my hardest in a very competitive line-up,” said Daanyal, who and is a regular face around Four Ashes Golf Centre between tournaments.

Daanyal’s Second Tournament

This is Daanyal’s second tournament since he qualified for the tour. He took part in The Lookers Championship, in Newcastle, last month, and shot rounds of 76 and 70, just failing to make the cut for the final day.

“Although I missed the cut, I was pleased with my form there,” he told us. “It was my first tournament for some time, having missed much of last year through injury, and I finished strongly on day two, so I left in a happy frame of mind. Hopefully I can pick up where I left off this week in Oxford.”

As ever, everyone at Four Ashes will be rooting for Daanyal this week – none more so than his dad, Ronnie, who is manager of our onsite golf store.
