Euro Pro Tour
It’s a big week week, and hopefully a big fortnight, coming up for Solihull golf professional Daanyal Spalding, who Four Ashes are proud to sponsor for another year. Daanyal first picked up a golf club at Four Ashes, and we’re delighted to support him as he bids to secure another season on the Euro Pro Tour, with the ultimate ambition of earning himself a place on the PGA European Tour. First qualifying for this year’s Euro Pro Tour takes place over two days, on Wednesday and Thursday this week at The Players’ Club, in Bristol, one of six venues where hopefuls like Daanyal will be hoping to make the cut to the final qualifying event, over three days next week, April 4/5/6. “It’s tough, but I’m up for the challenge,” said Daanyal, a regular, and popular figure around the Four Ashes Golf Centre, where his dad, Ronnie, is one of our PGA Teaching Pro team and also the manager of our onsite Midland Golf store.

“I’ve been working hard all through the winter, putting in the hours come rain, shine or snow, and after making good progress on the Euro Pro Tour last year, I’m absolutely determined to be involved again this year. “Hopefully I’ll get through next week, and then it goes up another level, where we take part in final qualifying at Fulford Heath in Oxfordshire,” he said. “But I successfully negotiated the qualifying stages last year, so I’ve got the experience, and as I say, I’m totally focussed. “I’d like to thank the management team at Four Ashes for their continued faith in me, it’s really appreciated,” said Daanyal. “There’s opportunities for other sponsors to come on board and be a part of Team Daanyal – there’s plenty of opportunities for media exposure, including on Sky Sports, who show highlights of Euro Pro Tour events.” Meanwhile, Daanyal hosts a Junior Golf Academy each Sunday morning at Four Ashes Golf Centre. It’s a programme of 6 weeks, for just £65, starting from four years old and upwards.
