The idea of the organisers is the desire to encourage more women to play golf and though we are delighted that there are plenty of enthusiastic ladies who are regular visitors to Four Ashes Golf Centre, we are always looking to encourage more.

As the organisers of National Golf Month point out on their campaign website, women make up just 14 per cent of regular golfers in the UK, compared to 30+ per cent in some European countries.

Yet, as the campaign also points out, and as all regular players well know, golf has many laudable qualities. For instance:
·         It’s healthy – playing a round of golf is a great way of keeping physically active

·         It’s sociable: you can enjoy conversation with friends before, during and after a round of golf

·         It improves mental well-being: regular exercise improves your mood and decreases anxiety.

At Four Ashes Golf Centre we are delighted to welcome lady golfers 12 months of the year, be it regular players who fine tune their game on our driving range, those who are new to golf and learning the game with our on-site PGA professionals, or – for instance – mums coming to play Adventure Golf or Mini Golf with their children and families, and simply having fun.

If you are a lady interested in taking up golf, or you wish to improve your game, then Four Ashes Golf Centre is the perfect place to do just that.

We host our popular ladies golf mornings: at 10:30am on a Wednesday, and 11:30am on a Friday – for £10 you get the best coaching from PGA pro Paul Sherrington, and a coffee afterwards in our lovely cafe.

For more information about our ladies golf mornings, or if you would like to book up a taster lesson, call Paul, on 07986 172567 or 01564 778072, or see the  website.
