How better for two stars of the Wasps Netball team to relax ahead of their national championship play-offs, than with a round of Adventure Golf at Four Ashes!

We were delighted to welcome Rachel Dunn and Sam May, to Four Ashes, who thoroughly enjoyed their first game of Adventure Golf, and also their coaching session on the driving range with our sponsored professional, Daanyal Spalding.

Coventry based Wasps Netball, who beat benecosMavericks 57-50 at the Ricoh Stadium in their penultimate match of the regular season on Monday evening, have already secured their place in the end-of-season championship play-offs.

They play their semi-final at the University of Worcester Arena on June 30, and will be hoping to feature in the Grand Final, on July 7, at the Copper Box Arena, London.

An awesome visit

Wasps Netball are the defending Vitality Netball SuperLeague champions, and Rachel and Sam bought with them to Four Ashes, the trophy that they are hoping to keep for another year.
“It’s been an awesome visit, and we’ll definitely be coming back,” said Rachel, an England international and double Commonwealth Games bronze medallist.

“The Adventure Golf is fantastic, we’ve had great fun, and everyone has made us so welcome; this is a great idea for some team bonding later in the year,” she said. “But it was also lovely of Daanyal to spare us some time and share some tips with us, and I’ve loved hitting some golf balls on the driving range.”

Seventh hole selfie

Said Sam, a former Australia under 21 international who joined Wasps Netball two years ago: “It’s been great fun, and as Rachel said, we’ll definitely be coming back – I’ve loved the Adventure Golf, and of course, we took our selfie at the seventh hole!

“Four Ashes is a great venue, and having had some coaching from Daanyal and spent some time on the driving range, I can’t wait for the chance to come back and keep practicing.”
